The Department of Arabic, the oldest department in the college was set up along with the inception of the college in 1944. The department has been functioning as an anchor with impeccable academic credentials and an impressive overall pass percentage. The department's approach which lays emphasis on the curricular as well as co-curricular activities has ensured the reputation of the department and the success of our alumni in the extremely competitive environs. In 1993, the department turned postgraduate with the introduction of MA Post Afzal-ul Ulama in Arabic language and Literature Programme. In 2019, the department was upgraded to a Research Department with three supervisors and their six research scholars engaging in constructive research under the department.
